Lagos Fire Service decorates newly promoted officers, demands greater responsibility

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has decorated newly promoted officers to boost efficiency, morale, and recognise outstanding service.

The ceremony, held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ikeja, reaffirmed its commitment to rewarding merit and strengthening emergency response across Lagos State.

Controller General Margaret Abimbola Adeseye congratulated the officers, describing their promotion as a reward for dedication and professionalism. She urged them to embrace greater responsibility, uphold discipline, and serve as role models.

She also stressed their role in supporting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda, especially in security and governance, and called for continued efforts to make Lagos safer and more resilient.

The event highlights the government’s commitment to human capital development and a more responsive emergency service.
