Prominent Nigerian publisher and politician, Dele Momodu has expressed his views on the ongoing legal dispute between Afrobeats star Davido and Sophie Momodu regarding the custody of their daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke.
In a detailed statement, Momodu discussed the distress Davido expressed over a recent court filing by Sophie Momodu.
He expressed surprised by the legal move, as he believed the couple had resolved their issues following a positive conversation with Davido.
Praising Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, for their intervention, he highlighted the non-payment of school fees and nanny salaries as primary concerns, which he claimed were resolved by Dr. Adeleke.
He also revealed that, Sophie at a point, declined an accommodation offered by Dr. Adeleke due to concerns about living among Davido’s family members.
Momodu concluded by emphasizing the importance of ensuring Imade is not treated as a second-class child and urged both parents to prioritize their daughter’s well-being over public disputes.
