Nigeria will surmount security challenges, says Oluremi Tinubu

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed confidence that the country’s security challenges will be overcome through the efforts of the Federal Government, security agencies, and support from international partners.

Speaking during her official visit to Ekiti State on Saturday, Senator Tinubu addressed members of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti, where she acknowledged the concerns surrounding insecurity across the country.

According to the First Lady, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working diligently to address security threats and restore peace nationwide.

She noted that several foreign countries, including the United States and France, are collaborating with Nigeria in tackling insecurity, adding that some details of ongoing security operations remain classified.

“Nigeria is too great to be intimidated,” she said, describing the country as richly blessed and expressing optimism that the current challenges would soon be resolved.

The First Lady also urged Nigerians, particularly women, to remain hopeful and prayerful as efforts continue to improve the nation’s security and economic conditions.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ekiti Traditional Rulers’ Council and the Oba Adu Adejimi Alagbado commended President Tinubu’s policies and initiatives, saying he remains confident in the President’s leadership based on his record as former governor of Lagos State. He, however, appealed for greater action to curb kidnapping and other security concerns affecting Ekiti and other parts of the country.

As part of her visit, Senator Tinubu distributed a ₦100 million Business Recapitalisation Grant to 2,000 women petty traders in Ekiti State, with each beneficiary receiving ₦50,000. She said the initiative was aimed at supporting families and promoting economic growth.
