Ojulari assumes office as NNPCL GCEO, pledges to build on Kyari’s legacy

Bayo Ojulari has officially assumed duty as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), succeeding Mr. Mele Kyari.

Ojulari took over the helm at a brief handover ceremony held on Friday at the NNPC Towers in Abuja. During the ceremony, he lauded Kyari for his transformational leadership and commitment to the growth of NNPC Ltd, as well as his service to the nation.

He pledged to build on the successes recorded under Kyari’s tenure and to steer the company to greater heights.

“Though the targets ahead of us are enormous, I am confident that with the support of the management and staff of the company, and the wise counsel of my predecessor, we will achieve our objectives,” Ojulari said.

He further assured that he would remain open to guidance, stating, “I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” as he addressed Kyari.

In his farewell remarks, Kyari congratulated Ojulari and expressed gratitude to the staff and management of NNPC Ltd for their support during his time in office.

He affirmed his readiness to assist the new leadership whenever called upon, adding, “I am only a call away.”
