Ondo police announce dates for constable recruitment exam, warn against fraud

The Police Service Commission has fixed April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination of applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as constables.

The announcement was made in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, indicating that the exercise is scheduled to take place across designated centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

In Ondo State, the Ondo State Police Command said the examination would be held at Police Secondary School, Iju, Itaogbolu. “The examination will run from April 28 to April 30 at designated centres nationwide. In Ondo State, the venue is Police Secondary School, Iju,” the command stated.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh, also disclosed that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening would be eligible to participate. “Qualified applicants are to log on to the recruitment portal to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their test schedule,” he said.

The commission equally listed requirements for the exercise, including writing materials, a valid National Identification Number slip with a clear photograph, and the printed invitation card, alongside a prescribed dress code.

“The process is entirely free. Applicants must not pay money to anyone, as any form of job racketeering or inducement will be punished in accordance with the law,” the PSC warned.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Lawal, has urged candidates to comply strictly with the guidelines and arrive early at their designated centres.
