Osimhen open to possible Manchester United move after rejecting Saudi offer

After turning down a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly emerged as a fresh target for Manchester United under new manager Ruben Amorim, according to Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old forward, who scored 37 goals in 41 appearances during a loan spell at Galatasaray, was offered £25.3 million per season by Al-Hilal, who had agreed to pay his release clause.
However, Osimhen—who, according to Football Italia, prefers to remain in Europe—rejected the offer despite Al-Hilal’s efforts to sign him ahead of their upcoming FIFA Club World Cup campaign.
The Saudi club initially had their approach turned down but later agreed to meet a €75 million (£63.2 million) release clause valid for clubs outside Serie A.
Recent reports from Old Trafford suggest that Amorim sees Osimhen as a key piece in Manchester United’s squad rebuild, as the club looks to reclaim its place among Europe’s elite next season.
With Napoli widely expected to sell their star striker this summer, interest in Osimhen has grown significantly, with several top European clubs monitoring his situation.
“Victor is, for me, the best striker in the world,” said Eric Chelle, who coaches Osimhen at the international level, in an interview with the BBC.
“It’s difficult for him to focus fully during this time because he played a season under a lot of pressure. The reality is that there is a transfer window. Maybe it’s Manchester United, maybe Chelsea, Barcelona, or Real Madrid. So he needs to concentrate on that.”
