Osun 2026: Accord factional chairman Imumolen backs APC’s Oyebamiji

The factional National Chairman of the Accord Party, Prof. Chris Imumolen, on Thursday declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji.
Imumolen announced his support while addressing supporters at the APC campaign rally in Osogbo, ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
His declaration came amid the leadership crisis within the Accord Party, with rival factions laying claim to the party’s leadership and governorship candidacy in Osun State.
In December 2025, Imumolen described Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Accord governorship candidacy as illegal and said his faction had produced Clement Bamigbola as its candidate for the election.
