Osun PDP governorship candidate denies filing petition against Adeleke

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) factional governorship candidate whose name appeared on a second petition challenging the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola, has denied filing or instructing anyone to file the petition.

Adedamola’s name appeared as the governorship candidate in the petition, with suit number EPT/OS/GOV/02/2026, before the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Speaking on the development, Adedamola said he was unaware of the petition and had no reason to challenge Adeleke’s victory.

“I don’t have knowledge of the petition. I have no reason to challenge Adeleke’s victory,” he said.

His denial comes amid conflicting reports over petitions allegedly challenging Adeleke’s re-election before the tribunal.

Earlier, it was reported that no party had challenged Adeleke’s victory before petitions were subsequently pasted at the tribunal on Monday.
