Oyebamiji felicitates with Christians on Easter, calls for peaceful coexistence

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, has felicitated with Christians in Osun State, Nigeria, and across the globe on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
Oyebamiji described the Easter festival as a period of sober reflection commemorating the 40-day fasting and the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after His crucifixion.
He noted that Jesus Christ conquered death through His resurrection, demonstrating His power over sin and offering eternal life to all who believe in Him. He urged citizens to reflect on the significance of the festival by being their brothers’ keepers and extending fellowship to one another.
He called for continued peaceful coexistence and unconditional love among all Nigerians.
Oyebamiji also encouraged citizens, particularly Christians, to remain firm in their decision to elect a progressive party, the APC, to government in the August 15, 2026 election.
He reassured the public of his readiness to run an inclusive, participatory, and people-oriented government if elected, stating that all faiths would be carried along in the administration of the state.
The governorship candidate further pledged that the APC government would work within the Constitution to strengthen unity, peace, love, and cohesion among all faiths.
“On behalf of my family, I warmly rejoice with our Christian brothers and sisters across the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration. Easter is a principal festival for Christians worldwide to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it is a period of sober reflection and renewed hope. This is the time to extend hands of fellowship to one another and bring smiles to the faces of the needy. I pray God spares our lives to celebrate more prosperous years on earth. Happy Easter to you all,” Oyebamiji said.
