Oyo govt sets up audit committee for Eruwa Polytechnic

The Oyo State Government has inaugurated a Staff Audit and Verification Committee for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, to strengthen transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the institution.
Speaking at the inauguration in Ibadan, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, said the initiative aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to building a future-ready polytechnic system.
The committee will verify staff records, identify gaps and redundancies, and recommend efficiency-driven policies while upholding professionalism and confidentiality.
Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bamidele Oyinloye, commended the institution’s management for past cooperation and urged stronger collaboration.
In his remarks, the Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi, said the exercise was initiated following requests from union members to improve operations.
The committee is chaired by Prof. Sarafadeen Kareem, with Dr. Ibrahim Rasheed as Secretary, and includes representatives from other institutions, the Ministry of Education, and the polytechnic’s unions.
