Peter Obi donates N20m, pays condolence visit to Niger govt over flood tragedy

Former Governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, has paid a condolence visit to the Niger State Government in the wake of the recent flood disaster in Mokwa, which claimed several lives and displaced numerous residents.

Accompanied by members of his team, Mr. Obi was received at the Government House by the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, who represented Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

During the visit, Mr. Obi donated N20 million to support relief efforts. He also offered prayers for the souls of the deceased and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the affected families and communities.

He commended the state government for its response so far and urged increased efforts to mitigate the impact of natural disasters.
