PHOTO NEWS: Sanwo-Olu commissions fresh food hub in Agege
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the Lagos Fresh Food Hub in Pen Cinema, Agege, as part of efforts to strengthen food distribution and improve food security across the state.
The 7,000-square-metre facility provides space for hundreds of traders, as well as dry and cold storage facilities, a dedicated seafood section, parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points.
The governor said the hub was designed to connect farmers, suppliers, traders, retailers, institutional buyers and consumers through a more organised food distribution system.
Sanwo-Olu said the Agege facility forms part of Lagos State’s wider food distribution network and is supplied by the Central Food Security and Logistics Hub at Ketu-Ereyun.
He added that the hub, alongside facilities in areas such as Mushin, would bring food distribution closer to residents while improving the efficiency of food movement across Lagos.
