Political crisis in Ondo left driver, one person shot dead

 A political turmoil that happened in Ondo state on Tuesday 30th April 2024 has left two people dead.

The incident that happened along Akure road Itala, according to eyewitnesses, was that a car containing political thugs overtook a bus, carrying members of a political party and the driver, one supporter, were shot dead.

According to findings, the name of the driver, Mr. Akinbode Oluwafemi and a passenger, Mr. Akinnola Ojo Oke-Igbo were the only two casualties involved in the deadly incident.

Those that escaped from the incident when their bus dashed into the bush include: Olasode Paul , Akinwumi Opeyemi, OyekaleDavid, Akinyimide Samuel, Adekolurejo Kareem and Akintimehin Akinnola.

As gathered, both the death driver and support were deported at a nearby mortuary in the state as the incident was reported to the nearby police station.

All effort to reach the police spokesperson as at the time of filing was not achieved. The deadly incident created tension among political parties in the state.
