President Tinubu to host 2025 NPFL champions Remo Stars at Aso Rock
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will host newly crowned Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Remo Stars, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The reception is expected to take place before the commencement of the 2025/26 NPFL season.
Renowned NPFL journalist Ojeikere Aikhoje revealed this via X:
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to host #NPFL25 champions, Remo Stars, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. A memo requesting photo opportunities and handshakes for domestic league winners was sent to the President as far back as December 2024.”
Remo Stars, also known as the Sky Blue Stars, clinched the 2024/25 NPFL title last month, marking a historic achievement for the Ikenne-based club.
Alongside Rivers United, Remo Stars will represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Champions League.
