Reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, officially resumes role

Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, the reinstated Emir of Kano, arrived at the Kano Government House to officially receive his appointment letter and resume his duties as the sole first-class Emir of the state.

The Emir’s arrival in Kano on Thursday evening was marked by a low-key homecoming reception, organized following security advice.

Preparations are complete for the much-anticipated event that marks the Emir’s first public appearance since his reinstatement.

Sanusi is scheduled to attend a mini-durbar ceremony at the Africa House in the Kano Government House at 10 a.m. From there, he will proceed to the Nassarawa Emir’s palace.

The day’s events will culminate with the Emir leading the jumu’at (Friday) prayers at the Kano Central Mosque, located at the palace in Kofar Kudu.
