Rivers Assembly urges Fubara to submit cabinet list, draft budget
The Rivers State House of Assembly has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to promptly submit a list of commissioner nominees for screening and confirmation.
This request was made during the Assembly’s first plenary session following the end of a six-month emergency rule in the state. The session was presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.
In addition to the call for cabinet nominations, the lawmakers also directed Governor Fubara to begin the process of drafting a supplementary Appropriation Bill to guide government spending for the remaining part of the fiscal year.
