Skales slams GTBank over alleged mistreatment of late mother

Nigerian rapper and singer Skales has criticized Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), describing it as a “horrible” institution over its alleged handling of his late mother’s salary.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Skales expressed his frustration with the bank, accusing it of mishandling funds belonging to his mother before her retirement.
He wrote: “GTB @gtbank is a horrible bank… the worst bank in Nigeria. I wish my late mom was alive to tell you what they did to her salary—how her money kept disappearing and I had to compensate her because she wouldn’t quit her job until retirement. Do not bank with GTBank.”
The artiste did not provide specific details of the alleged incident but insisted that the experience left a lasting impact on his family.
As of press time, GTBank has not issued an official response to the claims.
