Tinubu celebrates Yari at 58, commends role in APC campaign

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, on his 58th birthday.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Yari as “a loyal party man, an experienced administrator and a grassroots mobilizer”.

The President said Yari’s “political sagacity and organisational capacity” had continued to add value to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the nation.

Yari served as governor of Zamfara State from 2011 to 2019 and also chaired the Nigeria Governors’ Forum during his tenure.

Tinubu said Yari provided “leadership and fostering unity among his colleagues” while serving as chairman of the forum.

The President also commended Yari’s current role as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said Yari was “leading the charge to promote the administration’s Renewed Hope achievements and reforms ahead of the 2027 general elections.”

Tinubu praised the senator’s “commitment, resilience and unwavering belief in the progressive ideals of the APC”.
