Tinubu congratulates Etsu Nupe on his birthday, 21st anniversary as monarch

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to His Royal Highness, the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday, which falls on Thursday, September 12. This milestone also marks the monarch’s 21st anniversary on the throne.

In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu commended the first-class traditional ruler for his support of education, development initiatives, and healthcare projects in the Nupe Kingdom.

Acknowledging the strong and purposeful leadership of the Etsu Nupe, who serves as the Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Tinubu praised his contributions to traditional leadership and community development.

The President also lauded the Etsu Nupe for his efforts in promoting stability across the country by fostering peaceful coexistence and cooperation among different ethnic groups, not only in Niger State but throughout Nigeria.

Tinubu further highlighted the Etsu Nupe’s dedication to promoting interfaith harmony and understanding among various religious groups since ascending his ancestral throne over two decades ago.

He urged the esteemed monarch to continue his efforts in fostering national unity and development.

President Tinubu wished the Etsu Nupe good health and happiness as he celebrates these two significant events.
