We’re rebuilding Abuja, restoring trust in governance, Tinubu says

President Bola Tinubu has said his administration’s ongoing infrastructure drive in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is aimed at rebuilding Abuja, restoring public trust in government and renewing citizens’ hope.
The President stated this on Thursday while inaugurating the newly completed interchange at the intersection of Arterial Road N16 and Ring Road II, linking Jahi and Gwarinpa districts in Abuja.
Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu said the project reflects the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and easing transportation across the nation’s capital.
“Abuja is changing. One interchange at a time, one road at a time, we are rebuilding trust and restoring hope,” he said.
“Together, we will build a country where every citizen can move freely, live safely and prosper.”
Tinubu recalled that the intersection had long been a major traffic bottleneck, causing prolonged gridlock, wasted fuel and economic losses.
“This interchange opens up critical districts of the FCT and connects them seamlessly to the rest of the territory,” he added.
Describing infrastructure as the foundation of national prosperity, the President said roads are the arteries of economic growth.
