2Baba: I’ve returned to being an upcoming artist after 20 years

Almost 20 years after releasing his hit debut album, ‘Face2Face,’ Innocent Ujah Idibia aka 2Baba has admitted to being an upcoming artist again.

2Baba made this known in a heartfelt note to late singer Sound Sultan, his friend and colleague of many years.

“…I don even turn to the upcoming artist again Lai Dis. But we no go gree MUTIJU,” he penned.

However, he said that he wouldn’t easily give up the fight for the new talents emerging in the industry.

Also in the note, shared on social media by 2Baba, he delved on the current state of the music industry in Africa and Nigeria saying that his aspirations alongside the late Sound Sultan’s dreams and aspirations for Nigerian and African music have materialized.

 “YO Lanre, like play like play we don enter 2024. Plenty story for ground.

“That our dream and wish for NAIJA/AFRICA music take over and respect don come true o. I don even turn to the upcoming artist again Lai Dis. But we no go gree MUTIJU. ONELOVERELIGION.”
