BUA visits Tinubu, pledges continued support for administration

The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration following a courtesy visit to the President’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Speaking with State House correspondents after the meeting on Sunday, Rabiu said the visit was primarily to extend Eid-el-Fitr greetings and birthday wishes to the President, who turned 74 on March 29, 2026.
According to the billionaire industrialist, the visit was in keeping with his longstanding tradition of paying respects to the President during the Salah season.
“I met with His Excellency, Mr President, and it is a tradition for me to always come and pay my respects and extend my greetings during the Salah period. Although it has been almost two weeks since Salah, I believe it is never too late to extend these good wishes,” Rabiu said.
He added that he also offered prayers for Tinubu’s health, longevity, and wisdom as he continues to lead the country.
“I offered my prayers for His Excellency for good health, a long life, wisdom, and continued strength as he leads our nation. It was important for me to personally come and convey my goodwill, appreciation, and continued support,” he stated.
Rabiu noted that the visit was not his first, describing it as part of a personal tradition he maintains.
President Tinubu is currently spending the Easter holidays in Lagos after recently inaugurating the Gateway Cargo International Airport in Iperu, Ogun State. Prior to that, he visited Jos, Plateau State, where he met with families affected by the recent Palm Sunday attack that left at least 28 people dead.
