Tinubu celebrates Adekunle-Johnson, Olusola Oke on birthdays

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated his Special Adviser on Job Creation and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, and prominent lawyer and politician, Chief Olusola Oke, as both mark their birthdays on April 7.

In separate goodwill messages issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Adekunle-Johnson for his dedication to advancing the administration’s job creation agenda and strengthening MSMEs, which he described as the backbone of Nigeria’s economy.

Tinubu commended Adekunle-Johnson’s leadership in promoting entrepreneurship and expanding economic opportunities, particularly for young people and small business owners. He highlighted initiatives such as the Expanded National MSME Clinics, the establishment of 18 Shared Facility Hubs across the country, and the creation of about 478,000 jobs through various enterprise support programmes.

The President also noted the impact of the National MSME Awards, which recognise innovation and excellence among small businesses, encouraging growth and competitiveness within Nigeria’s entrepreneurial space.

He expressed confidence in Adekunle-Johnson’s continued role in promoting inclusive economic growth and wished him good health and more years of service to the nation.

In another message, President Tinubu celebrated Chief Olusola Oke on his 70th birthday, describing him as a respected legal practitioner and seasoned politician who has made significant contributions to Ondo State and Nigeria.

The President recalled Oke’s political career, including his election to the House of Representatives in 1992 and his appointment to the pioneer board of the Niger Delta Development Commission in 2000. He also noted Oke’s service as National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party from 2008 to 2012 and his later contributions to the All Progressives Congress, including his role in the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation in 2023.

Tinubu further acknowledged Oke’s service as Executive Chairman of the Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC) and his participation in Ondo State governorship contests.
