By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has declared that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke will be voted out in the August 15 governorship election, expressing confidence that a new era of development will begin under an APC government.

Oyebamiji made the declaration while addressing supporters during his campaign tour of the Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, urging residents not to be distracted by rumours that the election would be violent.

“Don’t be distracted by the rumour that the election will be violent. The government currently in place is due to be voted out on August 15, and a new era of development will begin,” he said.

The APC governorship candidate assured voters that no one would be allowed to intimidate or harass them from participating in the election, warning that security operatives would deal decisively with anyone caught threatening eligible voters.

Oyebamiji also pledged to run an inclusive government if elected, saying no part of Osun State would be discriminated against.

He said his manifesto would address every sector of the economy, adding that his administration would use agriculture to drive economic development, support farmers, reduce hunger and improve healthcare, education and commerce.

The campaign train met with traditional rulers at the Olokuku Palace in Odo-Otin Local Government Area before addressing supporters in Ikirun and later touring Iree, Ada, Aagba and Iragbiji, the hometown of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.
