Crawford University seeks global partnerships, strengthens community ties

The management of Crawford University has moved to expand the institution’s academic and international partnerships while strengthening its relationship with host communities through a series of engagements in Ogun State.
As part of the initiative, the university’s management visited the Free Trade Zone in Igbesa, where it held talks with China-Africa Investment to revive discussions on introducing Mandarin language training for students and staff.
The meeting explored opportunities for academic collaboration, including student and faculty exchange programmes, staff development, internship placements and cultural immersion initiatives aimed at broadening the university’s global outlook.
During the visit, the delegation also toured the Mandarin School and several companies operating within the Free Trade Zone to gain firsthand knowledge of the economic activities and industrial opportunities available in the area.
The management also paid a courtesy visit to the Oloja Ẹkun of Igbesa, His Royal Majesty. The visit coincided with the arrival of a church delegation that formally invited the monarch to the forthcoming Camp Meeting.
The traditional ruler assured the university’s management of his continued support and commitment to the growth and development of Crawford University under its new leadership.
