APC accuses ADC of owing staff over one year, attacks Atiku

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress of owing its staff more than 12 months’ salaries, urging Nigerians to reject the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The council also criticised the ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and its National Working Committee, led by David Mark as chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, over the alleged failure to pay party workers.
In a statement issued on Monday, the council’s spokesperson, Dele Alake, described the alleged non-payment of salaries as evidence of insincerity among ADC leaders.
“We find it unconscionable that a political party that has made many grandiose promises to hoodwink Nigerians owes its workers for more than 12 months,” Alake said.
He described the alleged failure to pay workers who depend on their salaries for daily sustenance as “wicked and reprehensible”.
The APC campaign council argued that the situation raised questions about the ADC’s ability to manage Nigeria’s affairs if elected into power.
“With this development, Nigerians can now see the emptiness and insincerity of those parading themselves as ‘new saviours’,” the statement added.
Alake also accused Atiku of having a record of owing employees, alleging that workers at Gotel Communication and his other businesses had gone months without salaries and staged protests over unpaid wages and other benefits.
