Tinubu arrives in Saudi Arabia for Umrah
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of his scheduled pilgrimage to Makkah to perform Umrah, also known as the lesser hajj.
Tinubu arrived at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Thursday evening, where he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yakubu Gambo, and the Saudi head of royal protocol, Ahmad bin Thafir.
The President is expected to proceed to Makkah to perform the Islamic religious exercise, which involves prayers and other acts of worship.
