Shettima departs Abuja for APC campaign rally in Nasarawa

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, to attend the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally ahead of the 2027 general election.

Shettima is expected to join other party leaders and supporters at the rally scheduled to hold in the state on Wednesday.

The Tinubu administration has identified Nasarawa as a beneficiary of its Renewed Hope Agenda, citing investments in road infrastructure, education and solid minerals development.

Among the projects highlighted are the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Biu–Maiduguri road project and the planned conversion of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, into the Federal University of Mining, Engineering and Technology.

The administration has also cited investments in lithium processing as part of efforts to promote industrial development, create jobs and expand economic opportunities in the state.
