Aiyedatiwa directs aides to deliver 1m votes for Tinubu

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has instructed his newly appointed political aides to mobilise a minimum of one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

He delivered this strategic directive during separate consultative meetings held with Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants in Akure.

In addition to the electoral mandate, the governor charged the officials with closely monitoring government infrastructure projects across all eighteen local government areas of the state.

Consequently, they are expected to provide regular, detailed feedback on project implementation and report any observed shortcomings for prompt official intervention.

Specifically, Aiyedatiwa urged the appointees to inspect ongoing road construction and actively publicise the quality of work delivered by contractors in their respective domains.

Moreover, he disclosed that every local government area has already been allocated between five and six kilometres of new roads under the current administration’s comprehensive construction programme.

Emphasising the political necessity of the electoral target, the governor insisted that the ruling party must retain power at the federal level by securing a massive victory for the president and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

Meanwhile, state party leaders, including the chief of staff and the APC chairman, echoed these sentiments while urging the appointees to demonstrate unwavering loyalty, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
