Akwa Ibom to deliver two million votes for Tinubu, Eno says

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has pledged more than two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election, declaring that the state is firmly behind the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Eno made the pledge on Friday during Tinubu’s visit to Uyo for the party’s presidential campaign rally, where he attributed the growing strength of the APC in the state to the support of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the relationship between his administration and the Federal Government.

The governor said the turnout at the rally demonstrated the level of support for Tinubu and the APC across the state, dismissing suggestions that the crowd was merely a product of political mobilisation.

“I want to assure you that Akwa Ibom will return you massively in 2027, and we will bring our result to Aso Rock and show you what we can do with the combined effort of the Senate President and all of us,” he said.

“We will deliver over two million votes of our people to you. On your mandate, we shall stand.”

Eno added: “Since he became the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Your Excellency, the crowd here today does not leave anyone in doubt whether Akwa Ibom is APC. Akwa Ibom is APC, and APC is Akwa Ibom.”

He said the gathering was not a token mobilisation but a demonstration of the party’s presence across the state.

“This is not the two-million-man march that we have only 100 people marching. This is APC all over the state, making a statement today,” he said.
