Oyintiloye urges Osun APC, PDP, Accord to unite for Tinubu’s 1.5m votes
By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on political stakeholders in the state to unite and work towards delivering the promised 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker, made the appeal on Sunday in Osogbo, stressing that cooperation among members of the political alliance was necessary to secure victory for the president in the state.
He said following the appointment of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council in Osun, all stakeholders involved in the alliance must put aside personal interests and work towards Tinubu’s re-election.
The APC chieftain said the success of the alliance would depend on members recognising and respecting one another’s political relevance and contributions.
He urged the coalition’s leadership to establish a grassroots mobilisation structure covering polling units, wards, local governments and the state, using a bottom-up approach.
Oyintiloye also called for the active involvement of women, youths, traditional institutions, religious leaders, market associations, artisans, farmers and other community groups.
He described the alliance involving the APC, PDP and Accord Party, under Adeleke’s leadership in the state, as more than a political arrangement, saying it was aimed at securing victory for Tinubu in 2027.
“All hands must be on deck to achieve this landmark victory for Mr President. Personal ambitions, interests, grudges and claims of superiority must be set aside for the collective benefit,” he said.
