APC dares opposition, cites orderly congresses as proof of party strength in Lagos

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the successful conduct of its electronic membership registration and recent party congresses as evidence of its strong organisational structure and internal discipline.
In a statement issued on Friday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said the exercises demonstrated why the APC remains a leading example of party organisation and democratic order in Nigeria.
Oladejo noted that the party recorded what he described as a “resounding success” with its electronic membership registration and the seamless conduct of congresses across wards and local governments in Lagos State.
According to him, the congresses were conducted peacefully and transparently, in strict adherence to constitutional guidelines, with massive participation by party members.
He said the process reflected unity within the party and signalled its readiness for future political engagements.
The party spokesman also highlighted the composition of the newly elected state executive committee, noting that it reflects a balance of experience and youthful energy, as well as continuity and renewal.
Oladejo also criticised opposition parties, urging them to focus on building internal cohesion and organisation rather than engaging in propaganda or factional disputes, stressing that politics requires discipline, coordination and leadership.
He added that the APC remains united and prepared for future electoral contests, expressing confidence that Lagos residents would continue to support the party.
