Atiku leads post-Sallah visit to former President Buhari in Kaduna

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Friday led a distinguished delegation of political leaders on a post-Sallah courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

According to a statement from his media office, Atiku was unable to make the visit during the Sallah celebrations due to his traditional responsibilities in Adamawa. As Waziri of Adamawa, he stood in for the Lamido of Adamawa, HRH Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, at several ceremonial events marking the Eid festivities.

To make up for his absence during the holiday, Atiku led a delegation that included former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai; former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; and former Adamawa State Governor, Senator Bindow Jibrilla.

Also on the delegation were former Benue State Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam; former Imo State Governor, Chief Achike Udenwa; Senator Idris Umar; Hon. Mohammed Kumalia; Capt. Yahaya Abubakar; Alhaji Musa Halilu (Dujima Adamawa); and Alhaji Salisu Makarfi.

Following the visit, the delegation joined former President Buhari for Juma’ah prayers in Kaduna.
