BREAKING: Ondo Reps member escapes death in car crash

The member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Donald Ojogo, narrowly escaped death on Saturday when his convoy was involved in a road crash along the Ore-Ondo highway in Ondo State.

The accident reportedly occurred when a commercial bus attempting to overtake Ojogo’s vehicle collided with another vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.

The crash caused panic among motorists and other road users, while some members of Ojogo’s entourage sustained injuries in the incident.

Ojogo, who recently secured another term in the House of Representatives, was reportedly travelling to Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area for a political engagement when the accident occurred.

However, the lawmaker escaped without serious injury and expressed gratitude to God for protecting him and members of his team.

According to Ojogo, the incident could have resulted in a more serious tragedy, but what he described as divine intervention prevented it from becoming fatal.

He attributed the crash to reckless driving and impatience by the commercial bus driver, urging motorists to exercise greater caution while using the highway.

Meanwhile, the injured members of the entourage were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while the incident raised concerns among motorists over road safety along the highway.
