BREAKING: One feared dead, two injured as Accord, APC supporters clash in Osun

One person was feared dead and two others injured on Tuesday following a violent clash between supporters of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, with sporadic gunshots reported in several parts of the city.
The gunshots were reportedly heard around the Owode, Aisu, Olaiya and Oke-Fia areas of Osogbo.
The confrontation caused panic among residents, who scampered for safety.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when a motorcade conveying APC members was travelling along the route. The APC members were alleged to have driven recklessly, prompting some Accord Party supporters to attack them.
It was further learnt that security operatives attached to the convoy began firing sporadically to disperse the attackers at the Aisu Junction.
According to an eyewitness, one person was killed, while two others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The security operatives also reportedly fired shots at Olaiya and Old Garage, triggering panic among residents of the affected communities.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, has urged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate the incident, blaming it on the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji.
