Hours after Shallipopi announced his exit from Dapper Music and Dvpper Digital over alleged financial misappropriation, the entertainment firm has reacted.

In a short statement shared on the record label’s social media pages, the entertainment firm reaffirmed its commitment to empowering artists, fostering collaboration and championing talents from all walks of life.

“At Dapper Music and Entertainment, we always embrace growth as a vital part of success for individuals, talents, and partners. The music industry thrives on constant evolution, and we believe adapting to growth is essential for all. Amid these transitions, our dedication to the principles that have shaped us since day one remains steadfast. “For over a decade, Dapper group has been committed to empowering artists, fostering collaboration, and championing talents from all walks of life, giving them platforms to grow. These values continue to inspire us as we nurture fresh talent, support our artists, and strengthen our partnerships.”

Shallipopi, whose name is Crown Uzama, claimed the choice of quitting the record label isn’t one made lightly, but it’s a step he had to take after his trust was broken, finances mishandled, and my rights as an artist were disregarded.

“Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited continues to squander the same, all without my knowledge and approval. This debt has now accrued up to a huge sum of money we are even yet to ascertain,” he claimed.
