Afrobeats singer, Shasha Damilola Alesh aka Dice Ailes, has called out Chocolate City over alleged unpaid royalties.
The Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper took to his Instagram stories to call out Audu Maikori led recording company, which used to be home to Jesse Jagz, and Brymo.
In his claims, Dice Ailes noted that Chocolate city has refused to pay him royalties on any of his songs.
“The old label still hasn’t paid me any royalties on some of my biggest records till date,” he began. “These labels have slowed me down too long. Enough is enough, my fans deserve better.”
Going further, Dice Ailes called out the West African arm of international music company, Sony Music alleging that the company is whitelisting his songs on streaming platforms.
“Sonymusic, stop whitelisting my songs. I have been patient enough. Let the fans hear me,” he wrote.
Dice Ailes got a record label deal with Chocolate City in 2014. He got the deal after meeting M.I Abaga alongside Tee Tash during his visit to Nigeria to pursue a career in music.
In 2016, he was nominated for Rookie of the Year at The Headies.
