Drive-To-Own programme driving empowerment, ownership – LAGRIDE

…as LAGRIDE captains earn up to N1m weekly
The Chairman of LAGRIDE, Chief Diana Chen, has said the company’s Drive-To-Own (DTO) programme promotes empowerment, economic growth and vehicle ownership for drivers.
Speaking through Executive Director Mildred Ekanem at the DTO 2.0 Car Handover Ceremony in Ikeja, Lagos, Chen said each vehicle represents income and opportunity for beneficiaries.

Ekanem said over 3,200 people have benefited from the programme since its launch, adding that it remains open to those seeking careers in the e-hailing sector.
She described LAGRIDE as more than an e-hailing platform, saying it helps participants build sustainable livelihoods and achieve ownership.
“Every vehicle handed over today represents a Captain who can earn with confidence, serve with pride and build towards ownership. Lagride is powering Lagos by building one of the most structured and excellent city mobility platforms in West Africa,” she added.

Also, the Director of Public Relations, Ifeanyi Abraham, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to safety, trust and brand integrity as the DTO scheme expands.

Abraham said “Protecting Lagride means protecting the Captains, the riders, the vehicles and the trust that the public places in the platform. Every trip matters. Every rider experience matters. Every Captain on the road carries the Lagride name, and that is why we must continue to build with structure, safety and discipline”.
Meanwhile, six LAGRIDE Captains said they earn up to ₦1 million weekly through the platform, describing the programme as life-changing.
