I have no house in London, America, or Abuja, says Dangote

Forbes-certified Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has explained why he doesn’t own properties in prime locations such as London, America, and Abuja.

In a recent media parley, Dangote revealed that he has no house in London or America, stating that he sold his only house in London in 1996. He also disclosed that he stays in a rented apartment whenever he is in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

On why he doesn’t have houses in Abuja, London, and America, Dangote attributed his decision to his passion for an industrialized Nigeria.

“The reason I don’t have a house in London or America is solely because I wanted to focus on industrialization in Nigeria. I figured that if I had those houses, there would be one reason or another for me to visit those places, thereby causing distractions for me.

“I am very passionate about the Nigerian dream and, apart from my house in Lagos, I have another one in my home state, Kano, and a rented one in Abuja,” he revealed.
