I relocated to USA to be with my son, says Doris Simon

Star actress Doris Simon has revealed that she left Nigeria in 2018 so she could be closer to her only child and son.

In a recent chat, Simon said, “As many people know, my child and his father reside in America, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to relocate here.”

“I left Nigeria in 2018 and I have not returned since then. I miss Nigeria a lot. The things I miss most especially are the roadside food vendors. Things like roasted yam, roasted corn, food that they hawk.

“I miss my family and friends and I also miss being on set, especially when I see actors and actresses sharing behind-the-scenes moments on their social media platforms.”

The Nollywood siren was first discovered by late Yomi Ogunmola and landed her first job in ‘Papa Ajasco’, the Wale Adenuga family movie.

Simon is a crossover actress who featured in both Yoruba and English movies and has acted in over 100 films.

The actress  was formerly married to actor and director, Daniel Ademinokan and the couple parted ways in 2011.
