Makinde presents Bimbo Adekanmbi as Oyo APM governorship candidate

Bimbo Adekanmbi has been unveiled as the consensus governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The unveiling ceremony was held at the Watershed Event Centre in Ibadan, where party leaders, stakeholders and supporters gathered to witness the presentation.

The official presentation was done by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, wherein Adekanmbi was presented the party’s certificate.

Makinde, while addressing party members at the event, described Adekanmbi as a capable and prepared leader, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the state if elected.

The governor also advised him against inheriting his political enemies, saying leadership should be focused on governance, unity and development rather than personal battles.

According to Makinde, Adekanmbi should remain committed to serving the people and sustaining the developmental strides already recorded in the state.

In his acceptance remarks, Adekanmbi appreciated the governor, party leaders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him through the consensus arrangement.

He also pledged to justify the trust placed in him and promised to pursue policies that would promote development, good governance and improve the welfare of residents of the state.
