The Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr Oluwole Oluyede, ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
Akpoti-Uduaghan declared her support during the PDP’s grand finale campaign rally in Ado-Ekiti, where she described Oluyede as a capable leader with the experience and vision needed to move the state forward.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by her media aide, Mike Idoko, the senator also embarked on a grassroots mobilisation tour across several communities in the state to garner support for the PDP flag bearer.
Addressing party supporters and members of the Ebira community, she said Oluyede had remained connected to the people and understood the challenges facing residents across the state.
She said, “Dr. Oluwole Oluyede is a leader who understands the needs of the people. He has listened to market women, youths, civil servants and community leaders and is prepared to provide solutions to their concerns.”
The lawmaker added that the PDP candidate possessed the qualities needed to unite the people and promote inclusive governance that would accommodate all groups and communities in the state.
“Leadership should be about service, fairness and equal opportunities. Dr. Oluyede is committed to building a government where everyone has a sense of belonging regardless of background or status,” she stated.
Akpoti-Uduaghan urged eligible voters to participate in the election and support the PDP candidate, expressing confidence that Ekiti residents would make the right choice based on competence, experience and commitment to development.
