Onyeka Onwenu to be buried in August

The late singer, songwriter, actress, and activist Onyeka Onwenu will be laid to rest in August 2024.
This was revealed by her two sons, who announced that Onwenu, an entertainment legend, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, after performing at a birthday party.
While the exact date and other details are yet to be announced, Onwenu’s sons confirmed that she will be buried before the end of August 2024. The burial arrangements will be disclosed in the coming days.
In the same vein, King Sunny Ade led a delegation of entertainers to Onwenu’s home to commiserate with her family. Others in the delegation included flutist Tee Mac, Kenny Ogungbe, and Mayo Ayilaran, General Manager of MCSN, among others.
