Police officers abducted me, collected N103k from me, Femi Dapson reveals

Music video producer Femi Dapson has revealed how he was ‘kidnapped’ by some police officers for just returning home from a music video shoot recently.

The founder and Executive producer at Nouvelle Films made this known in a lengthy story shared on X.

“Some policemen left Festac and stopped me on orchid road in Lekki phase 2 and before I could do anything they threw handcuffs on my wrist.

“After telling them who I was, they now said that the key to the handcuff was in their station. After much argument I said ok let’s go and I asked my driver to drive and follow us closely.

“Guys I kid you not! When we started the trip from orchid in the bus they put me in I thought we were going somewhere around the corner. Note that this was around 3am on my way back from an exhausting video shoot.

“Omo that’s how we started the trip sha and before I knew what was happening we passed chevron, we passed Osapa, we passed ikate, we even passed Lagos island, before I look again we were already on Eko bridge and I started to panic because it felt like kidnapping already.

“Then I asked one of them that you said your station is not far, where are we going? And the idiot said festac! Omo long story short na so I reach Festac ooo and they took me to a pos person to send money to her before they brought out the key to the handcuffs and let me go,” he narrated.

In a reaction to the claim, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin requested for some information as regards the illegal arrest was made as well as the transaction to which Dapson provided details.
