President Tinubu celebrates Esama of Benin on 90th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin, on his 90th birthday, celebrated on September 11, 2024.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy), the President commended Chief Igbinedion for his remarkable achievements as a businessman, philanthropist, and advocate for education and community development.
Acknowledging the Esama’s contributions to Nigeria’s economy, President Tinubu praised Igbinedion for his role in job creation and his leadership as the founder and chairman of the Igbinedion Group, a diverse conglomerate with interests spanning oil and gas, construction, and hospitality.
The President lauded Chief Igbinedion’s dedication to national growth and his lifelong commitment to improving the lives of many through his philanthropic initiatives.
He also commended the Esama for establishing Igbinedion University, the first privately owned university in the country, and for his commitment to advancing quality education and academic excellence.
President Tinubu affirmed that Nigeria is better because of the sacrifices of patriots like High Chief Igbinedion, who have dedicated their time and resources to the progress and development of the nation.
The President joined the Oba of Benin, the people of the Bini Kingdom, family, friends, and well-wishers in praying that the Esama’s legacy continues to inspire future generations.
