President Tinubu celebrates Lagos Deputy Governor, Hamzat at 60

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated the 60th birthday of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, praising him as an esteemed colleague and a trusted friend.
In a tribute on Wednesday, President Tinubu lauded Hamzat’s contributions to the development of both Lagos State and Nigeria, acknowledging his remarkable record as a public servant. He recalled recognizing Dr. Hamzat’s talent in 2005, during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, and inviting him to join his cabinet.
Hamzat, who served as the Commissioner for Science and Technology under both Governor Tinubu and his successor, Governor Babatunde Fashola, has held the position of Deputy Governor since 2019.
