15-year-old Nigerian content creator and actress Abibat Saka, popularly known as Anti Abibat, has issued an urgent public plea for support after her family suffered severe financial hardship due to her brother’s tragic death.

Her heartfelt outcry came on Sunday following an emotional video shared two days earlier, in which she revealed that her family was forced to bring her brother home from the hospital because they could no longer afford his ongoing treatment.

Despite exhausting all their personal savings, borrowing money, and accumulating significant debt in a desperate attempt to save him, her brother passed away within 48 hours of leaving the medical facility.

Criticizing the country’s healthcare infrastructure, the young skitmaker lamented that survival in Nigeria has become dependent on wealth after emergency medical care was denied to her brother once funds ran out.

The painful experience has taken a profound emotional and psychological toll on the teenager, who reflected on the heavy responsibility of attempting to fund medical care while still being a child herself.

In a follow-up Facebook post, Abibat highlighted that she had frequently used her platform to speak out about the nation’s deteriorating healthcare system long before this tragedy hit her own household.

Urging other public figures to amplify systemic issues before tragedy strikes their loved ones, she posted a touching farewell photo with her brother alongside her bank details so well-wishers could help clear the family’s outstanding bills.

Consequently, her heartbreaking story has sparked a wave of nationwide condolences alongside renewed demands from citizens for affordable, accessible healthcare across the country.
