Grammy-winning artist, Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, has revealed why she would wear a pair of jeans to a dinner with the former US President, Barack Obama.
The singer stated this in an interview with Notjustok saying she doesn’t mind seeing Obama in jeans since he placed her song “Me & U” on his playlist for 2023.
“If Barack Obama invited me for dinner, I think I would wear jeans,” she began on her choice of outfit if she gets the dinner date.
On her reasons, she said, “I want it to be a nice chill vibe. He’s already been a president. Why do we have to make things so formal?.”
Tems is singer, songwriter, and record producer. She rose to prominence after being featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single “Essence”, which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart following the release of the remix version with Justin Bieber.
The 28-year-old won her first Grammy in 2023 in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for her song, ‘Wait For You.’
