Women Affairs Minister condoles grieving actor, Francis Duru

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has expressed her heartfelt condolences to veteran actor Francis Duru and his family following the tragic loss of their 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

The minister visited the Duru family hours after the actor announced the devastating news of his son’s passing due to an illness.

After the visit, Kennedy-Ohanenye shared her thoughts, stating, “I paid a condolence visit to the family of Francis Duru over the loss of their 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.” She extended her sympathies to the grieving family, offering prayers for the soul of the deceased.

“I commiserated with the immediate family and prayed to God Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in the bosom of the Lord and grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” the minister added.

Francis Duru, a beloved figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, announced the passing of his son Ifeanyi on the morning of Thursday, July 8, in Abuja.

The news has drawn an outpouring of support and sympathy from fans and colleagues alike as they join the Duru family in mourning their loss.
