2027 elections: Tinubu will win in all 36 states, says SWAGA chairman

The National Chairman of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), Senator Dayo Adeyeye, on Tuesday declared that President Bola Tinubu would win all 36 states of the federation in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking at the launch of SWAGA 2.0 and the campaign rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in Osogbo, Adeyeye said Tinubu had performed beyond expectations and deserved a second term.

“I’m so sure, by the grace of God, that Bola Tinubu will win a second term. He will win in all 36 states of Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election because he has performed beyond expectations,” he said.

The former Minister of Works said the President had fulfilled key promises made during the 2023 election campaign, citing the absence of strikes in tertiary institutions, ongoing infrastructure projects, including concrete roads, and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as evidence of his performance.

Adeyeye urged Osun voters to support Oyebamiji, insisting he remained President Tinubu’s preferred candidate in the August 15 governorship election. He added that Tinubu would want to be welcomed by an APC governor when he returns to the state to campaign for re-election.

Representing Oyebamiji, former House of Assembly member Hon. Tunde Olatunji said the APC candidate was focused on delivering better governance rather than engaging in political confrontation, promising to keep Osun on the path of progress if elected.

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, represented by the state ambassador of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Sunday Akere, appealed to residents across Osun’s 332 wards and 3,673 polling units to vote for the APC candidate on August 15.

In her welcome address, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Hulayat Omidiran, described SWAGA 2.0 as a platform to deepen public engagement, strengthen democratic participation and ensure the dividends of progressive governance reach more communities.
